Kim Farrell

Author

I'm a reader by nature and a writer by heart.

I write on nights and weekends and every chance I get in between. During the day I'm the master of a three-ring circus (a.k.a. middle school teacher). I’ve been teaching English Language Arts and Creative Writing at Sarasota Middle School for six years now, and absolutely love working with students where I can share my love of both reading and writing.

I'm excited by the concept of writing for multiple age groups and across genres. I want more than anything for people of all ages to fall in love with literature and by creating stories of multiple interests, perhaps I can do just that.

I graduated from USF with my Bachelors in English Education in 2013, and my Masters in Gifted Education in 2016.

I am actively looking for a literary agent and/or editor. All books on this site have not been published (yet).

Seeing someone reading a book you love
is seeing a book recommending a person.

Excerpt:
Farrell, a sixth grade language arts teacher, wanted to find a way to give back to her school. Together, she and Tracey, the school’s art teacher, decided to cover the school’s white walls in positive quotes.

“The most important thing that I want for the kids is for them to see a form of positivity every day . . . if I could say something positive to every kid every day I would,” Farrell said.
